With one kick that doinked off the uprights and through, Zane Gonzalez booted his way into Washington Commanders lore, giving the franchise its first playoff win since … 2005!
DOINK! Listen to the epic radio call of the Zane Gonzalez kick
But a lot of folks noticed Gonzalez adjusting his hair a lot before putting on his helmet. Why did he do that when it might have gotten messed up by his helmet? Was it good luck?
Nope. Turns out he’s been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder or OCD. So that might have been the reason.
“It makes you a perfectionist and more detail oriented,” Gonzalez told ESPN back in 2017 about his diagnosis. “Off the field, it’s a pain in the butt.”
