The Rangers plan for Michael Beale Monday as player start time tees up speedy unveiling

Returning Rangers players will take part in the first day of training later than planned on Monday as Michael Beale gets set for his Ibrox unveiling.

Record Sport understands the first team squad will be at the club's training centre at noon rather than the regular start time of 10.00am as the players get back at Auchuenhowie after a break because of the World Cup. That opens a window for the Ibrox side to announce their incoming boss before he gets down to work. Record Sport revealed on Sunday night the 42-year-old is heading to Glasgow after QPR allowed their boss to speak to his former club about succeeding Gio Van Bronckhorst.

The Telegraph report Beale will pen a three-and-a-half year contract and Steven Gerrard 's former assistant will now get the chance to put his imprint on a side who return to competitive action against Hibs on Thursday, December 15. A friendly against Bayer Leverkusen on December 10 will allow Beale a chance to see his players in action as they aim to establish the building blocks ahead of their bid to claw back Celtic's significant nine-point advantage atop the Scottish Premiership.

Rangers players will go through testing on Monday with Beale set to implement his plan of attack in the coming days. The Englishman was lauded for his coaching nous during his first spell at the club and will a clutch of new faces to run the rule over with Malik Tillman, Rabbi Matondo, Ridvan Yilmaz among the summer signings aiming to take their game up a level.

Ibrox supporters are awaiting the announcement from Ibrox as talkSPORT state Beale has agreed personal terms as he aims to hit the ground running at a club he knows well. Beale assisted Gerrard en route to their first league triumph in a decade and was pivotal en route to consecutive runs to the last 16 of the Europa League.
