Steven Gerrard has reportedly been listed as an alternative manager choice at Greek giants Olympiacos – if another Rangers favourite can't be persuaded to take the role.
The club sitting third in the Greek Super League have been churning through bosses this term and are already looking for their fourth of the season after Real Madrid legend Michel resigned earlier this month. They started the campaign with Pedro Martins and then West Brom boss Carlos Corberan was gone inside a couple of months before moving on to their third boss.
Now they are hunting the next man to lead them and it's claimed by Sport FM that former Ibrox general Rino Gattuso is one man they are holding out for, but won't wait 'for ever' for him as he 'seriously' considers the role. Alternatives are in place should they not get their main man and Gerrard is suggested as a possible Plan B for Olympiacos, who want an appointment ASAP.
Gattuso spent a year at Ibrox between 1997 and 1998 and has since managed AC Milan, Napoli and Valencia amongst others. Gerrard meanwhile is on the job hunt after being sacked by Aston Villa at the start of this season, following a tenure at Rangers where he helped them win Premiership title 55.
