Crowds of shoppers are expected to descend on Dalton Park this week when The Range opens a huge new store.
After months of anticipation, bargain hunters will be able to browse the popular chain's range of leisure, garden and homeware products when doors finally open at 9am on Friday, April 28. The 25,000-square-foot unit is situated next door to the Morrisons supermarket at the Murton retail park.
The opening has created 42 new jobs and inside shoppers can expect to find everything from home accessories to DIY essentials.

To mark the launch, The Range has confirmed that eager customers will be able to snap up "exclusive offers" including 20% off arts and crafts, solar lighting and selected curtains until Sunday, May 14.
Ahead of the Dalton Park store opening, The Range said: "Customers will be able to discover all the variety and value they expect from The Range in their new 25,000-square-foot store, with all the departments you’d expect from home decor to cleaning essentials and kitchenware to soft furnishings.
"There’s something for everyone regardless of style and budget! Gear up for the weather ahead with our extensive patio selection in-store, there's something for all tastes and budgets."
The chain opened its first store in 1989, on Billacombe Road, Plymouth, and says it is now the fastest-growing retailer in the UK. With over 200 stores nationwide, it stocks more than 140,000 products across 16 different departments, including homeware, furniture and DIY.
