The Range and B&M selling Tiki bars that might rival egg chair as new trend

With a bit of nice weather around, why have the hassle of travelling to warmer climes? Especially, that is, when you can bring a taste of the exotic to your own back garden.

Both The Range and B&M are offering holiday-inspired Tiki bars to add a bit of fun to outdoor entertaining. The former's Marbella Bar Set, priced at £319.99, comprises of a rattan-inspired table as well as co-ordinating bar stools.

In an Instagram post, the retailer said: "This bar set has been designed to be compact, helping you to create a fun feature regardless of the size of your garden. Easy to assemble too, it will have you outdoors and having fun at your garden party, barbecue, or just on sunny afternoons."

"You need this beside the hot tub," one Instagram user declared to her friend. In the Bristol area, The Range has branches in Avonmeads Shopping Park, Imperial Retail Park and Stoke Gifford.

The bar, complete with a straw-style roof, also comes with two stools and has a rattan-effect aesthetic. The table measures 101cm by 100cm by 58cm, according to the dimensions online.

If hanging egg chairs were last summer's must-have garden accessory, it seems Tiki bars might be the new trend for this year. Several retailers are marketing very similar style garden furniture, with a range of budgets catered for.

Not to be out-done by its rival retailer, B&M has also shared a snap on Instagram of a very similar product. Its Island Paradise Tiki Bar is also a three-piece set with matching stools, but is slightly more expensive.

In a post shared last week, it told shoppers: "With the weather finally starting to get brighter, it's a perfect time to snap up this Island Paradise Tiki Bar! This 3 piece bar set is a real statement piece, and helps bring that beach vibe to your back garden! Who fancies sipping a cocktail or two here?"

The listing on its website prices the bar at £350, and details the dimensions of the table as 118cm by 75cm by 215cm. One B&M fan, tagging her friends, wrote: "Can’t wait to go to a party at this bar."

Argos is also selling a Habitat Tiki bar, with bamboo-style detailing instead of a rattan effect, priced at £500. According to the listing, the retailer is currently offering 20 per cent off with a code.
