We’ve got one Week 1 opening game in the NFL books.
And while overreacting to that game seems like a bad idea, sorry: I’m overreacting.
The Buffalo Bills completely blew out the defending champ Los Angeles Rams, with questions about Jalen Ramsey, Matthew Stafford’s arm and health and a lot more.
I could say that, hey, it’s the Bills, they’re Super Bowl favorites.
But let’s look at the facts: The Rams’ offensive line allowed Stafford to be sacked seven times. He threw three INTs and looked like he wasn’t throwing too far downfield all night. The running backs rushed for 2.9 yards per carry.
The defense did intercept Josh Allen twice, but seeing Ramsey get cooked wasn’t a good sign.
It’s obviously way too early to be worried. But this is a team playing in a division with the 49ers and Cardinals. It’s a squad with clear holes on the offensive line, with question marks about the health of their running backs and an elbow problem for Stafford that was the focus for much of the offseason.
Welp.
