The Los Angeles Rams have struggled across the board in a lot of areas this season, except when it comes to defending the run. Even though this season hasn’t gone according to plan, the Rams boast one of the best run defenses in the NFL and are among four teams who have yet to allow a 100-yard rusher.
The Rams are tied for the fourth-fewest rushing yards per attempt (4.0) and the fifth-fewest rushing yards per game (104.5) this season. The closest a running back came to eclipsing 100 rushing yards in a game against the Rams this season was in Week 14 when Josh Jacobs had 99 yards on 27 attempts.
This season, the @RamsNFL defense ranks tied for fourth in opponent yards allowed per rush (4.04).

The fact that the Rams own one of the best run defenses despite all of the injuries they’ve endured is a testament to how good of a defensive coordinator Raheem Morris is. It also helps when you add an All-Pro linebacker like Bobby Wagner to the middle of the defense.
Just a season ago, the Rams finished with the sixth-best run defense while giving up 103.2 rushing yards per game. With two games remaining against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Seattle Seahawks, the Rams have an opportunity to conclude this year with a better run defense than they had in 2021.
