The quirky Pontypridd cafe that's selling hot dogs made with waffles

A Pontypridd cafe that specialises in waffles has launched a new delicacy, and it's called the Waffle Dog.

Sinner's Club at the Chain House opened its doors towards the end of last year, after the premises remained closed for months.

The town's popular venue was transformed into a cocktail and waffle bar in 2021, and the team have been working hard to attract diners since opening its doors before Christmas.

Back in 2018 Chain House opened its doors and proved very popular with locals and visitors alike, as it produced various delicious fine-dining dishes.

Since then it has opened and closed its doors, with FAB Burgers having traded there before Sinner's Club took over.

In an attempt to tempt customers with tasty and innovative waffles, it's now launched a brand new snack that's quickly starting to catch people's attention. It's called the Waffle Dog.

The Waffle Dog is essentially a hot dog, but with a twist. The sausage is coated in waffle as opposed to your standard bun.

You can also chose to top it with ketchup and mustard if you fancy going all-out American. A taste of the States is available right here in Ponty!

There's also a vegan option (Sinner's Club at Chain House)

"We are officially taking delivery of both our regular and vegan hot dogs," said the Sinner's Club team.

"It’s official - Waffle Dogs have landed.

"Both regular and vegan. Oh, and the regular ones are gluten free too!

"Be one of the first to pop down and taste them - you won’t regret it."

After a few days of featuring the new additions on the menu Sinner's Club has said they've already been "quite popular", and the vegan dogs have been more popular than the meat option so far.

You can grab a waffle dog for £3.50 or you can pick up two for £6.

Sinner's Club at Chain House can be found on Bridge Street, Pontypridd, and you can find out more about what's on offer at the eatery here.
