The Queen, Eliizabeth II, has died, the Palace has confirmed.
The world is today in mourning after it was confirmed The Queen passed away at Balmoral on Thursday afternoon.
Tributes have been flooding in from across the globe, as the world's most powerful woman passed away.
In a statement, the Palace said: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born on April 21 1926 and was the first child of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
Elizabeth took to the throne on February 6 1952 following the death of her father. She was just 25 years old.
She was the Queen of the United Kingdom and 15 other Commonwealth realms.
Queen Elizabeth II is the longest-lived and longest-reigning British monarch. She is also the longest-serving female head of state in history.
On April 9 last year The Queen’s husband, Prince Philip died aged 99.
She leaves her four children Charles, Prince of Wales, Anne, Princess Royal, Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.
She also leaves eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
