The Queen was pictured meeting with well wishers as she attended a church service in Sandringham.

Wearing peach, the monarch was seen beaming as she entered St Peter and Paul church in Norfolk for a Sunday service.

Around 200 people gathered outside the church to get a glimpse of the Queen.

As she made her way to the nearby village hall, she spoke with some people waiting.

The Queen spent ten minutes inside the village hall talking to the Sunday School children.

The Queen is set to mark 67 years on the throne this week.

She became Queen on February 6, 1952 after the death of her father George VI.

The monarch is only three years away from her Platinum Jubilee, which would be a first for a British soverign.

She is expected to spend the 67th anniversary of her Accession Day privately in Norfolk.

Gun salutes by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery in Green Park and the Honourable Artillery Company at the Tower of London will be fired to mark the occasion, as is tradition.
