The price of pints across Ireland is being increased and many people are on the hunt for the most budget-friendly Guinness nationwide.
In early January, Guinness announced that it would be bumping its prices up by around 20c due to the rising cost of living.
In most pubs - outside of Dublin - the average price of a pint of Guinness is sitting at around €5.20 before the change, so the news was not welcomed by fans of the ‘black stuff’.

However, after much effort, one of our sister websites, Galway Beo has claimed to have found the cheapest Guinness locally.
This comes just days before pubs across Ireland bring the increase and pub goers will be shocked at the bargain they can get in the West.
After getting on to pub owners across the western county, “from Clifden to Oranmore, and from the ones who answered, we have discovered that the cheapest pint can be found at The Thatch Bar in Tuam, where you'll still get change from a fiver”.
They revealed that the same pub doesn’t plan to bring in the price hike - and will likely attract Guinness drinkers in droves as a result.
“The pub will be selling the black stuff for €4.90 a pint even after the price hike, which was the cheapest pint we'd come across in our research”.
