Fans of Scottish clubs in Europe will have a new look to their UEFA football coverage next season - but it could come with a price change.
BT Sport has the rights to the three main UEFA club competitions - the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League - and is to be rebranded as TNT Sports. It's the first big development of the joint venture between BT Group and Warner Bros Discovery.
Programming will stay mostly the same under the rebrand which will come in July. TNT will remain centred around live Premier League and Champions League football, domestic and European club rugby, and boxing. Current packages range from £10 to £42 per month with the onlin-only subscription recently bumped up to £29.99 monthly. But while prices won't change currently, BT’s consumer chief and chair of the joint venture Marc Allera says 'it’s impossible to offer guarantees.'
He added: "This market is moving at a fast pace. How the portfolio evolves determines the price of the product and how much we charge.”
Celtic and Rangers both had their Champions League group stage games broadcast on BT Sport this season and the winner of this season's title will go straight into the group stage again. Hearts meanwhile had their European adventure in the Europa League and Europa Conference League put on the small screen.
