Stunning outdoor 'dining bubbles' are making a welcome return to Mumbles promenade this autumn. Bistrot Pierre Mumbles first unveiled its two striking outdoor eating pods, located outside its restaurant in Oyster Wharf, in December 2020 - days before First Minister Mark Drakeford announced new Covid-19 restrictions in Wales, banning the sale of alcohol in pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes and forcing them to shut their doors by 6pm.
Strict Covid-19 rules meant few people were actually able to enjoy the bubbles that year - so people were delighted when they returned last autumn. Dozens of families and groups of friends and colleagues enjoyed dinner and drinks in the cosy bubbles with fantastic views of Swansea Bay - and dozens more will be able to enjoy the dining bubbles this year when they return from Friday, October 7. You can read more stories about Mumbles here.
Confirming the news, staff at Bistrot Pierre Mumbles wrote on social media: "Our Bistrot Bubbles are returning from Friday, October 7! What better way to enjoy the stunning panoramic sea views over Swansea Bay than in one of our Bistrot Bubbles? With a warm and cosy interior, spectacular views and delicious food, they're the perfect setting for the most exciting outdoor dining experience in Mumbles/Swansea. Our Bistrot Bubbles can accommodate a minimum of four and up to a maximum of six guests."
