The wife of The Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan has urged fans to “send their prayers” after he was rushed to hospital on Friday.
The Fairytale of New York singer was admitted to hospital last Friday but the reasons for his latest visit are unclear.
Victoria said her husband was finding it “frustrating” and said he wants to get out.
Speaking to The Irish Mirror, she said: “I’m definitely hoping he gets out this week.
“He’s a bit frustrated, I think. He finds it very frustrating… he wants to get out.”
When asked if he was doing okay, the 56-year-old said: “I think he is, yeah.” and later added: “Please don’t get too worried. I’m sure he’ll be fine.”
MacGowan and Victoria have been together for decades after meeting a pub when she was just 17, but only got married in 2018.
The Irish singer, 64, who spent nine years as the lead singer and songwriter for the iconic Pogues, broke his pelvis in a fall in 2015 and has had increasing mobility issues ever since.
