The places where you can get free food on A level results day

A Level results is day full of emotions, but whether you need to celebrate or commiserate there are some freebies you can bag on the day. Most places require you to take proof of your results so make sure you check the terms and conditions before heading out.

From free chicken to dough balls, along with discounted prices, here are the freebies you can get hold of as it stands, we'll keep updating the list if more places announce deals.

Nando's

All students receiving their grades to claim a free starter or quarter chicken when showing their results slips at the till, in-restaurant, to help either drown their sorrows or kick-start celebrations. The promotion is available to claim in-restaurant, for eat-in and walk-in collect only, on minimum orders of £7. You need your ID and the results with you via email or print out.

Las Iguanas

Students can pick up three free churros from Las Iguanas on results day. Students will need their student ID and proof of their results and no other purchase is necessary to grab the deal.

Pizza Express

Pizza Express is offering its famous doughballs for free to A Level results students. Students will need to show their results paper to enjoy the deal.

Frankie & Benny's

Frankie & Benny’s is offering students a free 10” San Francisco-style sourdough margherita pizza (worth £8.90) or the restaurant’s vegan version. All students need to do is show their UCAS results and purchase a soft drink (prices start from £3) to get their hands on a whole margherita pizza.

Fintans Fish & Chip Co

With three shops across Cardiff, Fintans Fish & Chip Co is offering some great deals for A-Level students. If students purchase a portion of chips they will receive a choice of a complementary side including: small battered sausage, battered mushrooms, battered cauliflower, pot of popcorn chicken, battered onion rings, any curry sauce and garden or mushy peas.
