A social media thread asking tourists for places they have visited but won't return to appears to have opened a can of worms. Among the visiting hotspots include popular seaside towns and a picturesque village one traveller branded "unnerving".
No Context Brits, a popular Twitter account, shared the post on Friday, reports CornwallLive. Benidorm, Blackpool, and even London were among the places listed as replies.
Commenting @gogingerale said: "Blackpool. Note that most of the people saying Blackpool can not bring themselves to relate why… the horror is too great."
While @DootSalad added: "London. Wasn't bad, just kinda boring."
@SandyofSuffolk said: "Bath. Dirty, scruffy place. Too much 1960s architecture. Too many chain shops."
But, rather surprisingly, holiday hotspot Cornwall took a blasting from social media users. Some criticised the "over-commercialism" of the area with others saying it was "overrun with tourists".
@TrevorHurley said: "Lands End. Ruined by commercialism."

@Atmyexpense said: "The Eden Project. I'm sorry to say it was overly commercialised, I was very disappointed."
While @Harmunt said: "It has to be #Boscastle in #Cornwall. Easily the most unnerving atmosphere I've ever felt. We spent the morning there and left as quickly as we could #wickerman."
