The Outlaws season 2 cast and release date as Stephen Merchant series returns to BBC One

The Outlaws season two makes its highly anticipated return to BBC One on Sunday, June 5. This is welcome news for fans of the hit Bristol-based crime comedy drama, which is reportedly set for a third series according to creator Stephen Merchant.

The series follows seven strangers brought together to undertake a Community Payback sentence for committing minor crimes. The second series of The Outlaws picks up from where season one ended.

The gang of misfits are part-way through their community service while the police are still carrying out their investigation into the shooting of Spider. The first series, co-created, co-directed and starring Stephen Merchant, was hit by delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
