The Orioles were so classy to give away free tickets to fans who stuck out a 2-hour rain delay

They have the third-best record in baseball, meaning the hotshot Baltimore Orioles are in the middle of a scorching-hot resurgence. And, with some recent inclement weather in the Baltimore area, it appears they’re very intent on maintaining goodwill with their fans.

On Monday, during a home battle with the fellow red-hot Cincinnati Reds, storms rolling through the East Coast caused a very long two-hour rain delay. Play would eventually resume, and the Orioles would go on to win 10-3.

But, to reward the patience of the fans who stuck around at Camden Yards through the storm, the Orioles gave away complimentary free (!) ticket vouchers to anyone who claimed them.

Wow, that is just special:

Look, in all honesty, the Orioles are a professional baseball club. Comping the tickets of the fans who stayed through a lengthy delay probably amounts to pennies for them. But it’s still gestures like this that cultivate a healthy love and appreciation in a baseball fanbase. The Orioles didn’t have to give out free tickets!

And I can’t remotely fault them for taking care of some of their most loyal supporters.
