Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg believes Emile Smith Rowe will become one of the best players in football if he continues to work as hard as he currently does.
The Englishman has had an outstanding past twelve months in Arsenal colours and has established himself as a key part of Mikel Arteta's long-term plans to rebuild the club.
With eight goals in the Premier League from midfield this season - with a number of those coming from the substitutes bench - Arsenal's no.10 is already a fan favourite at the Emirates and his performances have earned him recognition from some of the world's best.
In a bid to promote the Arsenal star's new FIFA Ultimate Team Future Stars card, Ljungberg interviewed Smith Rowe, and at the end of proceedings he told the midfielder that he will go to the very top as long as he keeps on working hard.
"There's always something in my opinion [that you can work on] if you're being a very critical coach," he said.
"If you can just look at it from the outside and when I look at you for example, you can do them all. You have the physical presence, you're big, you have pace, you have technique, you have a good shot.
"So, in my opinion there is no limit. The limit, I think, is you."
As we've seen how devoted he is to his craft already, he'll likely take Ljunbjerg's advice on board. If he does, he should make it to the top, as many, including Gary Neville, have already predicted.
Speaking in January of last year, Neville said on Sky Sports, as cited by The Express: "You watch Emile Smith Rowe play, you watch a lot of young players play particularly in the attacking area and they're frantic.
"Their choices are usually a bit erratic, they don't normally get it right.
"He runs with the ball, he moves with the ball, he glides with the ball and he's always at a point whereby you feel he can release it.
"The real best players travel with the ball but they are always in the position where they can release it. He's connected, he's switched on, he's clever.
"And he’s only played six games. Six games is unbelievable. He looks so experienced.”
