Alex Jones has revealed she won't be presenting The One Show for almost a month as the show takes a break from its usual BBC One slot. The Welsh presenter took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 27 to post a picture of her and co-host Jermain Jenas from the studio.
As the pair smiled on the famous green sofa, Alex, who hails from Ammanford, told her followers: "And that is a wrap till the end of August."
The confirmation came after the 45-year-old bid viewers a farewell at the end of Wednesday's episode. Alex explained to viewers: "That is your lot this week and for a few weeks because we are taking a summer break. We'll be back on August 22. Until then, stay safe and have a lovely summer."

The announcement comes after Alex recently announced she was going through a "tricky and challenging" patch in her life. She told her 337k Instagam followers: "Things have been a bit tricky for us recently and in all honesty, I haven’t had time to be on here between working and the children but I randomly logged on and saw all your lovely messages gently asking if we were all ok.
"I was touched by your kindness and so I just wanted to check in and say thank you, and that even though life has been a bit challenging, we are ok and still managing to enjoy the beginning of the holidays and there's still plenty to smile about!
