Exes Alex Jones and Steve Jones were forced to come face-to-face on The One Show on Tuesday (July 4) after Steve appeared a guest on the BBC show. The F1 presenter faced questions from his ex-partner Alex as he sat on the sofa to talk about his first novel ‘Call Time’.
But after their 'bitter' split and 'betrayal', viewers claimed there were a few awkward moments and tension between the former flames as they appeared live on screen together.
The two Welsh presenters were in a relationship from 1999 to 2002 whilst they worked together on the Channel 4 show Rise, but reportedly split after Steve 'stole' an interview with a Hollywood A-lister from his then-partner, reports The Mirror.

Whilst introducing her ex onto the show, Alex, 46, joked that she had 'read all about' Steve's book, which is about a man who finds an old mobile phone and ends up speaking to his 12-year-old self.
Steve went on to reveal that the unique storyline came about whilst he was day drinking in the pub with a close friend of his, and the rest was history.
But viewers were left unconvinced that the duo felt comfortable speaking to one another after their sour split.
Taking to Twitter to air their live reactions to the 'awkward' interview, BBC viewers appeared to spot tension between the pair.
"Steve can't even look Alex in the eye! He's glaring at Jermaine," one insisted.
"OMG you could cut the tension with a knife between Alex and Steve," another echoed.
"They had a brutal breakup but fair play to them for being the bigger people and actually coming together for an interview like this," someone else tweeted.
Alex previously revealed that she split with her ex-boyfriend Steve after he lied in order to intercept her interview with Angelina Jolie.
The Welsh star, discussed the betrayal on an episode of Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett.
Alex was working as an entertainment correspondent for the Channel 4 show Rise when she was given the opportunity to interview the Oscar-winning actress.
The One Show host revealed that Steve had told her bosses that she was sick when she was actually just out shopping.
"Normally [Rise] would call in the morning and ask to come and do an interview or junket," The One Show hosted recalled on the podcast.
"I was staying in his [Steve’s] flat at the time when I was working in London and he picked up the landline and said ‘Al’s not here. She’s not feeling well, she’s had to go back to Cardiff’ – I was in Topshop."
"So he did the interview," Alex added.
