Leicester City fans were left fuming after Scott McTominay escaped a red card for Manchester United during their clash at Old Trafford.
After a dull first half with little quality, the visitors were left incensed when McTominay went in for a challenge on James Maddison inside the United half. The midfielder has his foot raised as he looked to momentarily lose control, leaving his opposite number in a heap.
Despite the protestations of the Foxes, referee Andre Marriner settled with a yellow card for the United man. Despite Leicester’s angry reaction, including a long conversation between Kasper Schmeichel and Marriner, VAR didn’t intervene to upgrade the booking to a red.

With McTominay walking a tightrope, United interim boss Ralf Rangnick took no chances as he brought the Scotland international off just moments later. The 25-year-old made way for Marcus Rashford as the hosts looked to inject more of a threat into the game.
Leicester fans though were left infuriated that they weren’t given an advantage for the remainder of the second half. And they certainly made their feelings known on social media.
United’s return to action following the international break left plenty to be desired. Despite still being in the hunt for the top four, they offered very little in the first half against Leicester, with Bruno Fernandes going closest after spurning a glorious opportunity against Schmeichel.
Former Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho made them pay as he struck just after the hour-mark. The visitors' lead didn't last long though as Fred equalised just moments later, before James Maddison saw a potential winner ruled out by VAR.
