Nottinghamshire Live is launching a new email newsletter to keep you up to date with the most important issues facing our wonderful city. The Nottinghamian will be sent directly to your email inbox once every weekday with a selection of news stories along with analysis and insight.
It is a companion to our thriving website, but with a change of pace and a slightly different tone. We hope you'll come to see The Nottinghamian as "a friend dropping in" each day.
The Nottinghamian will be discussing the issues that sometimes get lost in the news cycle, as well as those which are unique to Nottingham. For example, subscribers can expect to see us focus on goings on at Nottingham City Council or the current state of the Broadmarsh upgrade.

We'll be keeping a close eye on the performance of Nottinghamshire Police, and reporting on the running of the NHS in our region. The Nottinghamian will also showcase the important local journalism by reporters at Nottinghamshire Live that sometimes gets missed.
Not only that, we will also take a look at how national issues affect us - from Levelling Up to the cladding scandal - and keep tabs on the latest antics in Westminster. Nottingham's thriving nightlife and hospitality sector will also be up for discussion, along with the development of the city centre.
We will bring you weather and travel updates each day from road closures to train, bus and tram service updates. Every day of the week will also bring something new to The Nottinghamian.
On Mondays we will showcase the top things to do that week in Nottingham, on Tuesdays we will look back at the city's past and on Wednesdays we will head into town to hear the voices of Nottingham talk about the hot topic of the week.
We will bring you street style on Thursdays and recommend a must-visit bar or restaurant on Fridays. It will bring a Nottingham approach to news whilst also sharing with you the best our city has to offer.
We send a wide variety of newsletters at Nottinghamshire Live covering crime, sport, and specific geographical patches (you can find them all here) but The Nottinghamian is something completely different. The first edition will be sent on July 25.
