VisitEngland has announced the winners of its annual Awards for Excellence with several venues across the North West receiving accolades. The awards celebrate England’s tourism industry with categories ranging from Small Visitor Attraction of the Year to Experience of the year.
Gold, silver and bronze winners for each category were selected from hundreds of tourism businesses across England, including hotels, glamping sites and restaurants. The awards have been running for more than 30 years and recognise the highest quality venues in the industry.
Among this year’s winners were several sites in Cumbria, including The Quiet Site in Ullswater. It received the gold award for Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year.
