Daniel Jones led the Giants to a huge win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, as he threw for two scores and ran for two more in a 38-10 romp that clinched the team’s first playoff berth since 2016.
Jones, the No. 6 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, has had a strong season under first year coach Brian Daboll and should be in line for a nice contract extension from the team.
But he’s also lucky that he was able to bounce back from a dirty hit late in yesterday’s game because this could have gone very badly for him.
Colts linebacker Bobby Okereke caught Jones with a forearm shiver to the head and then Jones’ head bounced off the turf:

The NFL should come down on Okereke for that one.
Jones then scored a few plays later, and got hit by Okereke as he crossed the goal line:
On a day where Daniel Jones is reported to be in line for a contract extension with the Giants:
19-for-24, 177 yards. 2 TD’s.
11 carries, 91 yards, 2 rushing TD’s.4 total TD’s.

Good for Jones on that TD. But yeah, the NFL should step in here.
Jones, meanwhile, had one heck of a Sunday.
Giants fans showered Jones with MVP chants late in the game.

Saquon Barkley sang his QB's praises...
Saquon Barkley praises Daniel Jones after today's game:
"You guys don't see this, but I get here pretty early. Every single time I get here there's a car that's gonna be here before me and that's Daniel Jones…he's our captain and he's our leader" pic.twitter.com/yKO1KPkcsj
