The weekend is upon us once again, and if you’ve already seen the annual Coca-Cola advert, that can only mean Christmas is just around the corner. But if you’re not yet ready to jump into some festive fun, we know just the thing.

With Now – the streaming subscription service from Sky – there is something for everyone to enjoy this weekend. Whether you fancy diving into Gotham City’s criminal underworld, or embarking on another hilarious voyage across the universe, Now has you covered.

The Batman

Matt Reeves’ The Batman stars Robert Pattinson in the dual role of Gotham City’s vigilante crimefighter and his alter ego, reclusive billionaire Bruce Wayne. Batman ventures into Gotham City's underworld when a sadistic killer leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues.

As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans become clear, he must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued the metropolis.

Avenue 5 – Season Two

All aboard for a hilarious journey across the universe in this HBO comedy series from Armando Iannucci and starring Hugh Laurie. Set 40 years in the future when travelling the solar system is a booming business, the series follows life on board Avenue 5, a mash-up of a cruise liner and an interplanetary rocket ship packed with luxury amenities.

Season two picks up just a few months after audiences left those aboard the Avenue 5 space shuttle in the show’s timeline.

Branson

This four-part HBO original documentary chronicles the many adventures and ventures of billionaire entrepreneur Richard Branson. Alongside interviews with the business magnate himself, the docuseries has added insight from family members, business associates, and journalists, and is illustrated by decades of archival and home video footage.

Branson reveals the ups and downs of a man driven by risk-taking in both his business and personal life, reflecting on the costs and rewards of his lifelong, relentless optimism and boundary-pushing.

Branson is streaming on Now and Sky Documentaries from Sunday, December 4.
