In this Italian romantic-comedy, Dante (Edoardo Leo) has a beautiful relationship with his girlfriend Alice (Barbara Ronchi), but he has a bad one with time. Absorbed by the many commitments of his daily life, he always arrives late and has the impression that his life is flowing too quickly.
It also happens on his forty-first birthday, when Dante shows up hours late to his own party. According to him, the solution seems at hand: if he works hard enough, maybe in a few years he will be able to buy some time.
But what happens when he wakes up the next day and finds himself already on his forty-first birthday? What happened to the rest of his year?
When, upon waking again, Alice puts a beautiful baby girl of a few months into his arms wishing him a happy forty-second birthday, Dante realises he has been catapulted into a waking nightmare: for some inexplicable reason he is living an accelerated life, in which he has no memory or control.
