Bored of the endlessly dull London drizzle? Well, as tempting as it may be to hastily book a one way ticket to Tuscany, close your Expedia tabs and instead hop on your merry way to your local high-street Zara for Cabana’s bright new collaboration.
The Milanese interiors label and maximalist magazine founded in 2014 by Martina Mondadori, has just launched an exciting homeware collection with the affordable fashion brand. Inspired by Villa Ronche, the 17th century Venetian villa designed by visionary set designer Renzo Mongiardino, each piece evokes the spirit of bohemia and the joys of collecting, hosting and (more importantly) feasting.
And we can confirm it’s by no means a let down, serving up summer in the form of jewel-toned glassware, dinky artichoke shaped salt and pepper shakers and intricately woven placemats.
Cheery homewares you’ll want to incorporate into your own living space, along with the mismatched chairs, chipped tea cups and dining table you found on Facebook Marketplace and oh so gracefully lugged from Holloway to Hackney single-handedly.
Prepare to line said second-hand table with all the sumptuous prints the magazine is best known for— exuberant florals, funky Aztecs and simple checks. There’s delicately painted earthenware plates, cloth-style napkins and tablecloths, which are festooned with mustard yellow blooms. To top it all off, there’s also the cabbage salad bowl, ceramic milk jug and rattan bottle holders for all your wining and dining needs.
Now you can bring a little bit of Italian sunshine into your home, and say a polite farewell to winter. Grab the emerald green glasses and pinstripe spoons, anyone for an almond gelato?
