If I told you that Brabus made motorcycles, maybe some of you wouldn’t believe me. And to a certain extent, it’s kind of true. Brabus doesn’t make motorcycles—or cars—for that matter. They’re a customization and performance outfit, after all. But that’s not to say that they don’t know how to soup up a car or bike to neck-breaking specifications.
Such is the case with the Brabus 1400 R, a bike which some of you may be familiar with as the successor to the Brabus 1300 R. The Brabus R lineup of bikes has always been created in collaboration with KTM, as they’ve always been based on KTM’s top-tier hyper-naked machine, the Super Duke R. The previous 1300 R was based on the insane wheelie-popping 1290 Super Duke R, and now, the 1400 R is based on none other than the 1390 Super Duke R Evo.
And it's coming to the US.

But wait, wasn’t KTM literally on the brink of death not too long ago? Surely now’s not the time to be gambling on ultra-niche, ultra-high-performance, and not to mention, ultra-expensive limited-edition machines.
But what if it is?
As you probably know, folks who buy Brabus’ R bikes know exactly what they’re getting: a high-performance machine that’s all about being unique and rare. And hey, if the Brabus 1400 R is the last of its kind, well, doesn’t that just make it even more special?
So, what makes the new Brabus 1400 R so special, anyway? For starters, it builds on the legacy of its predecessors while going in a completely different direction. Based on the KTM 1390 Super Duke R Evo, the 1400 R is poised to offer more horsepower, enhanced styling, and an even more aggressive stance. A particularly notable feature is its long, sculpted side panel that runs to the front fender—a feature that Brabus prominently features in its teaser images.

In terms of performance, the 1400 R is expected to take cues from its forerunners while incorporating advanced tweaks that only Brabus can deliver. The new rear section sports a single raised exhaust adorned with the Brabus logo, hinting at a design language that’s as much about visual impact as it is about performance.
The wheels have also been rethought, moving away from the KTM multi-spoke design in favor of an almost retro three-spoke star design. This subtle nod to the past, combined with forward-thinking LED accents and wave disc-equipped brakes, creates a look that’s as captivating as it is innovative.
As of the moment, it’s hard to speculate exactly what this thing will look like. But you can bet that if and when this thing drops, it’ll be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. It’ll be a hyper-naked machine that’s just as much about performance as it is about making a statement.
Oh, and it might actually be coming to the US. A recent report by Dennis Chung over at Motorcycle.com reveals that the Brabus 1400 R has acquired EPA approval. The report states that it’s been added to the EPA’s most recent update dated March 11, 2025. That said, should everything surrounding its development go according to plan, we can expect it to retail north of 50,000 euros (around $54,000 USD).
