Previews of the highly-anticipated Roberto Baggio film were released this week - and football fans look to be in for a treat.
The fervour has already started to build on social media for the biographical portrayal of one of football's most enigmatic figures.
While some are calling the release a "documentary", a more accurate description would be a "fictionalization".
Away from the tried-and-trusted historical football film that uses archived clips and 'talking heads', The Divine Ponytail is instead a fully-fledged feature with Baggio portrayed by actor Andrea Arcangeli.
Arcageli plays "the key moments from his 22-year career, including that penalty kick in the 1994 World Cup finals and his contentious move from Fiorentina to Juventus."
While Robert Baggio's performance at the 1994 World Cup will forever be remembered by the penalty miss that ultimately cost his country the trophy, his performances in the lead up to the final should also never be forgotten in football folkelore.
For many, Baggio is closely associated with an iconic time for Serie A and Italian football: a time that captured the British football fan's imaginations with large thanks to the Channel 4 programme "Football Italia".
First announced in October, The Divine Ponytail has only now been given an official release date of May 26, 2021.
