Well, it finally happened.
After weeks of speculation and an entry into the “deal zone,” the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers agreed to a trade of Ben Simmons and James Harden.
Just ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, the two teams agreed on a deal that sent Harden and Paul Millsap to Philadelphia for Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two first round picks. It’s a massive haul for Brooklyn, which wanted to be aggressive amid a nine-game losing streak. And the Sixers were desperate to get rid of Simmons who had refused to play since facing criticism in the team’s playoff loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
