It has been years, y’all. Years. We’ve been putting up with these different NBA Finals logos for years.
The logo had been missing on the NBA Finals floor for almost six years since they pulled it off after the 2014 Finals. When they did finally slap the logo back on the floor, they allowed it to be as unseasoned as possible. Absolutely no flavor.
They might as hell have just kept the logo off the court if they were going to give us a preseason invitational tournament logo. The disrespect. It’s the Finals for crying out loud.
But no more, people. Our nightmare of uncultured logos is finally done. The league is bringing that old thing back with the Finals logo and it’s absolutely beautiful.

Finally. That old cursive font is back and exactly where it needs to be. Could we do without “Presented by YouTube TV” there? Sure. Look at how amazing some of these are without ad space.
Here’s a recent history. Personally, the Championship round should be free of ad logos. https://t.co/dhj57bEkEg pic.twitter.com/SeLA0nrvC8

But, hey, man. They cut the check so they get the space, I guess.
Regardless, it is amazing to see this logo back in action. NBA fans were so thrilled by the news.
