THE National’s fundraiser with Medical Aid for Palestinians has reached its final goal of £50,000.
There is only one thing to say to all those who donated: Thank you.
Our entire team is again stunned by the generosity of our readers. Last year, we raised more than £100,000. And, again, to be able to give this amount of money to this vital charity on the ground in Gaza is so important.
The leaders of all of Scotland’s main political parties backed the fundraising drive, proving that this really is an issue that goes beyond party politics.
The fundraiser will continue until Sunday at midnight. We won’t be increasing our goal but we will encourage everyone to donate what they can.
Afterall, this isn’t about goals or markers – this is about saving lives and doing what we can to help an unfolding humanitarian catastrophe.
Every pound donated before the goal is just as important as those donated after.
