The Mother And Two Children Who Tragically Drowned In Sydney’s South-West Have Been Identified

A woman and two children who tragically drowned in a waterway in Sydney’s south-west on Saturday have been identified as Hoai Nguyen, 32, and her two children, Mitchell, seven, and Hazel, five.

On Saturday, emergency services were called to a pier in Floyd Bay in Georges River at Lansvale at about 10.15am after the trio were spotted struggling in the water.

Hoai was pulled shortly after emergency services arrived, but unfortunately, she couldn’t be saved. Several hours later, at about 2pm, the bodies of the siblings were found metres from the jetty where they fell in.

“I am fundraising on behalf of Hoai(32), Mitchell (7) and Hazel (5) and Macario(1). We hope to raise funds to aid the funeral and to assist the father to look after young Macario in this time of grief.”
