The most romantic restaurants across the UK have been named, and nearly 10 Scottish destinations are featured.
Online restaurant-reservation service OpenTable has shared a list of the top eateries across the nation ahead of Valentine's Day. From afternoon tea to steak to modern European cuisine, there are countless options for those looking to enjoy a tasty meal with their other half.
In total, nine Scottish restaurants are featured in OpenTable's list. These are located around the country, in cities including Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and Glasgow.
OpenTable commented: "Food is its own love language, but when it’s served in a cosy room or a candlelit booth? Guaranteed fireworks.

The first restaurant to be named in the alphabetical list is Alston Bar & Beef in Glasgow. The smart, cellar-like restaurant and gin bar underneath Glasgow Central Station is the perfect spot for carefully sourced Scottish steak.
Next is Angels with Bagpipes in Edinburgh's historic Old Town. The independent family restaurant serves up Scottish fine dining in a a 16th-century building complete with opulent decor.
Intimate and laid back, Cafe Boheme in Aberdeen is one of the very best spots in the city for seafood. Also available at the candlelit French cafe-restaurant are delicious brasserie classics.
Taking pride in sourcing local ingredients, Cafe 1 in Inverness is a family-run business where visitors can enjoy European and Scottish dishes in a relaxed space hung with framed mirrors. Mains include Pappardelle pasta, West Coast Monkfish & Mussel Rendang, and Holly House Highlander Burger.
The second Aberdeenshire spot featured on OpenTable's list is Fennel Restaurant in Inverurie just outside of Aberdeen. It is a buzzy two-floor venue that serves up modern European dishes and cocktails.
The only Dumfries restaurant to be featured is Gather, which is described as a "place where friends and family can get together to enjoy good food, company and views". Dishes include Laggan Scampi and Chips, Gather’s Bacon and Camembert Melt, and Fried chicken, chips ‘n’ slaw.
Meanwhile, Kyloe Gourmet Steak Restaurant in Edinburgh serves up the "best of Scottish fields" in a "classy" space with cowskin booths. According to the restaurant, it is "committed to working with some of Scotland’s top farms and butchers to bring our guests the best possible Scottish steak experience".
Located in Glasgow's West End, Number 16 Restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy some modern European cuisine with a loved one in the city. The interior consists of a dimple floor and mezzanine of white exposed brick and red walls.
The final Scottish restaurant to be featured on OpenTable's list is Tapa in Edinburgh. Visitors can enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine served tapas-style, inspired by the team's "lifetime love and appreciation of Spain".
