The moment that showed Son Heung-min's touch of class with his Tottenham team-mate

Son Heung-min gave yet another example on Sunday of why he is one of the most popular players at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 30-year-old played his part in the victory against Leeds United to finish Spurs' disappointing season at Elland Road at the weekend. Despite a difficult campaign himself, Son still ended up with 14 goals and six assists across the season, including an assist for Harry Kane on the final day.

The South Korean star is an ever-smiling presence around the north London club and makes a point, along with other senior players, of greeting and encouraging any academy players who are called up to join in daily training sessions at Hotspur Way. He can often be seen going along the line of them as they sit waiting in the entrance area to the training pitches, high-fiving each of them.

Those fans who made the trip to watch Sunday's 4-1 win at Leeds would have seen another encouraging moment between Son and one of the academy products.

Matthew Craig was finally handed his Spurs debut by acting head coach Ryan Mason after a string of appearances on the bench this season and last season in the Premier League. The 20-year-old midfielder came on the 77th minute, replacing Yves Bissouma, and he was joined by another youngster in 17-year-old George Abbott who joined him in the midfield in added time at the end of the game for his own Tottenham debut.

After the game as the Spurs players were thanking the travelling fans, before he joined in, Son could be seen to go over to Craig with a big grin and give him a long hug after his big moment and he no doubt did similar to Abbott to further showcase his desire to look out for the club's young players.
