Jumping off at one point while the carriages moved through the junction, the individuals were just centimetres away from being trapped under the moving tram, or being hit by oncoming traffic.
Seeming to enjoy themselves during the stunts, the teens narrowly managed to escape an accident, with onlookers watching from both the bus and the tram itself.
Posting the clip on social media, @twelve50tv said: "Spotted these wee guys making full use of the trams Edinburgh city centre, wouldn’t chance trying this."
The incident is not the first occasion young teens have been spotted taking risks on Princes Street, with similar scenes taking place less than a week ago.
