The moment Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag arrived at Crystal Palace

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is present at Selhurst Park as he prepares to watch his new players in the flesh for the first time since his appointment. Ten Hag has been in London this week and has already started work as United set about their much-needed rebuild.

It has been a busy few weeks for the Dutchman after he led Ajax to their third Eredivisie title in four seasons. Having been appointed by the Amsterdam giants in 2017, the 52-year-old won six trophies during a hugely successful spell, while he also guided them to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.

He'll be hoping to bring similar success to United. However, Ten Hag must first assess the squad he has inherited.

In his last game before handing over the baton, interim manager Ralf Rangnick made four alterations to the United line-up as academy graduate Hannibal Mejbri was given his first senior start. That comes after he played a vital role for the U18s in their FA Youth Cup triumph - alongside Alvaro Fernandez and Alejandro Garnacho.

Cristiano Ronaldo was not named in the matchday squad for the trip to Crystal Palace, while Dean Henderson, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford were also left out for various different reasons. Before the 4pm kick-off, Ten Hag was pictured making his way to the stadium.
