Dramatic footage shows the moment a man is detained for throwing a climate Just Stop Oil protester out of the road. The protesters were holding up traffic on Blackfriars Bridge in London when a man in visibility trousers and a grey hoodie can be seen walking up to the nearest protester, grabbing him and throwing him to the floor on the pavement by the road.
The protester fell at the feet of police officers who were looking the other way at the time. The man in the hoodie the proceeded to grab another man holding a banner and attempt to push him off the road as well.

One of the occupants of the van then gets out to tell them to "get off" his vehicle. In a chaotic scene there are horns blaring and the man is clearly agitated by the protest.

A Just Stop Oil spokesman told WalesOnline: "We understand that delays and disruption causes frustration. We are frustrated too - at a government that cares more about lining their own pockets than they do protecting all of our lives. Licensing over 100 new oil, gas and coal projects - whilst people are dying from extreme heat and losing their homes in floods and wildfires, is an act of genocide."
The evidence that the world is getting warmer due to the action of humans is overwhelming and indisputable. We are likely to miss the aim of keep global heating within 1.5C of preindustrial levels which will have dire consequences for humanity and the natural world. Cardiff has been identified as one of the cities in the world most at risk from climate change and the threat of sea level rises. You can read more about that here.
