The modern family Welsh home that was Zoopla's most-viewed UK property in March

With demand for new homes currently consistently high, it's no surprise to find a huge range of interesting properties in the top 10 most popular listings for March 2022 on property portal Zoopla.

Featured properties include a five-bed home situated on the rugged coastline of Scotland, complete with breath-taking views across the sea, but it is beaten by a dream home in Wales, which has been crowned the most popular home in the UK.

The top 10 list from Zoopla shows that Scotland has a lot to offer, with four of the top 10 properties being situated there, which includes an apartment in Edinburgh with views across the Royal Botanical Gardens and the city skyline. But Wales is in the list three times, with homes in Carmarthenshire and Swansea being the most popular places in the area.

If a renovation project is what you're after, the three-bed in Swansea needs more than a lick of paint but has a sizeable garden and oodles of potential, whilst on the other end of the spectrum, there's a modern, eco house also in Swansea that is perfect for families and for the future.

10. Lybster, Scotland

What a stunning location (Zoopla)

An amazing five-bed property situated above the Whaligoe Steps and boasting breath-taking views of the sea and on to the rugged rocks of the coastline both below and beyond. Bought by the present owners for the position and views, it has been mostly renovated to an extremely high standard though some decoration to the west wing still remains for the new owner to enjoy.

Dating back to 1860 the B listed property was originally a Herring Station with a cooperage and stables. Part of the ground floor was, until recently, a restaurant with a commercial kitchen, reception room and customer toilets. A new owner could continue with a likewise venture or run an airbnb in the upper wings.
