The miserable Swansea City player ratings as subbed duo sum up frustrating Blackburn Rovers defeat

ANDY FISHER 5

Not much he could do about Sammie Szmodics' goal but was otherwise composed. Good in possession as Swansea played out from the back continuously. Well beaten by Ben Brereton Diaz and then Tyrhys Dolan though.

NATHAN WOOD 5

Good in possession in the first half and did his defensive duties well until getting caught out by Ryan Hedges' ball over the top for Brereton Diaz's goal. Cut a frustrated figure in the second half and had a few sloppy moments as a result.

KYLE NAUGHTON 5

Took a few chances to get Swansea up the pitch and was neat enough in possession, although the majority of it was in deeper positions.

HARRY DARLING 5

Made a number of timely clearances but was unable to stem the tide when Blackburn countered.

JOEL LATIBEAUDIERE 5

Got into some promising positions on the right wing and operated well defensively. Killer instinct in the final third was lacking though. Subbed.

JAY FULTON 4

Booked for a cynical foul in the opening half and dallied on the ball in the build-up to Blackburn's opener. Subbed just after half-time.

MATT GRIMES 5

Saw so much of the ball but Swansea needed more from midfield, particularly given Fulton's struggles.

RYAN MANNING - Star Man 5

Drafted in for Matty Sorinola, the Irishman was one of Swansea's better performers in the first half. Put in a few decent deliveries into the Blackburn box, but grew frustrated in the second half.

JOEL PIROE 5

Swansea looked more threatening when Piroe got on the ball, which, in truth, wasn't anywhere near often enough. The Dutchman flashed a shot wide in the first half and poked goalwards in the second half but had precious little else to shout about.

OLIVIER NTCHAM 4

On his first start of the campaign, Ntcham wasn't at his sharp best and offered very little in the final third. Set up Piroe in the second half after winning the ball high up the pitch but was withdrawn soon after.

MICHAEL OBAFEMI 5

On the periphery of proceedings for the majority of the first half, although he was neat enough when he did get touches. More involved in the second half but never really threatened, although, not entirely his own fault.

Subs

Jamie Paterson (for Fulton) - Gave Swansea some impetus after coming on and had a shot cleared off the line. 6

Matty Sorinola (for Latibeaudiere) - A couple of decent moments in attacking areas late on. 6

Cameron Congreve (for Ntcham) - Not much time to make an impact, and the game was already done anyway. N/A
