The 2019 Masters Tournament tees off on Thursday, April 11 at Augusta National, officially starting up the first golf major of the season. It’s an exciting event that has an absolutely loaded field full of talented contenders and past champions, all gunning to don the coveted green jacket. A championship is wide open for the taking, but one player is standing out with the most potential to win this weekend.
Oddsmakers believe that Rory McIlroy is a cut above the rest, opening the Irishman as a 7-1 favorite to complete a career Grand Slam with a win at the Masters 2019. The 29-year-old is in peak form going into the tourney, winning the Players Championship last month and finishing no worse than sixth in the six events he has entered since the year began. McIlroy will be tough to top, but does have a history of coming up short at Augusta National. The sportsbooks believe he’ll be chased by Dustin Johnson, who is getting 10-1 odds as the clear No. 2 choice in the Masters field. Johnson has never finished better than T-4 at this major, but has momentum on his side with four consecutive top-four finishes since February, a stretch that includes a big win at the WGC-Mexico Championship. Justin Rose and Tiger Woods are next on the odds table at +1400, while Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm and Rickie Fowler round out the top-five at +2000.
Here’s a look at the odds for the field for every competitor at the 2019 Masters
