The Masked Singer's Davina McCall nursing 'hidden' injury as new series continues

Davina McCall is nursing a hidden injury on The Masked Singer as the new series continues on Saturday night.

Since it kicked off a few weeks ago on New Year's Day, the ridiculously addictive talent show has once again captivated the nation, reaching a peak audience of nearly 5 million for its third episode last weekend.

Romance was in the air on Saturday night as the ITV ratings winner took on a love theme as a host of disguised celebrities once again trying to sing for the votes of the studio audience and avoid detection from Davina and her fellow panellists Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Rita Ora.

But, prior to the start of Saturday's show, TV star Davina took to Instagram to share news of a foot injury as she previewed her outfit for the latest round of sing-offs.

Striking a pose in a red dress, the same colour as Masked Singer host Joel Dommett's latest outfit, Davina wrote: "I am colour co ordinated with @joeldommett tonight … we planned it for WEEKS !!! Tonight I am wearing a dress from the last series … #sustainablefashion "

And then giving a injury update, ex Big Brother presenter Davina added: " @azfactory.. an absolute fave. still with an ouchy foot … but actually quite loving the trainers with this."

Davina was showered with compliments for her look, with Pussycat Doll and new Dancing on Ice star Kimberley Wyatt replying: "Uuuummmmm wow!!!! LOVE THIS LOOK!!!!" and one of her many fans reacted: "WOW. a real inspiration to us older ladies, the dress is"

Before Saturday's latest elimination, three famous faces had been unmasked as they'd been given the boot by the panel - M People diva Heather Small, broadcasting legend Gloria Hunniford and ex Pop Idol winner Will Young.
