There was a double unmasking on Saturday night's The Masked Singer (February 4) as Knitting, Jellyfish, Otter, Fawn, Jacket Potato, Phoenix and Rhino took to the stage to sing in disguise and stump the panel which included guest panellist presenter Stephen Mulhern. Following the unmasking of Knitting as Steps singer Claire Richards, Otter was revealed to be award-winning comedy actress Daisy May Cooper on the ITV celeb guessing game.
For weeks, the Never Mind the Buzzcocks panellist had viewers guessing, with many even thinking that it singing legend Kate Bush behind the elaborate wetsuit costume. Jaws dropped on the panel when Daisy, who won the 2018 BAFTA TV Award for Best Female Comedy Performance as Kerry Mucklowe in the BBC Three series This Country, was unveiled and Mo Gilligan told her: "You're a really good singer."
"Oh no, I'm not," she replied, waving away his compliment as she admitted to feeling "exhausted." And the mother of two, who has a son and a daughter, admitted. "I did this for my daughter Pip, who's a massive fan of the show, and because I needed the cash."
