The Masked Singer 2023 final line-up confirmed after dramatic double elimination

The Masked Singer line-up for the 2023 final after a dramatic double elimination on the ITV celebrity singing competition on Saturday evening.

Jellyfish, Phoenix, Rhino, Jacket Potato and Fawn took to the stage in the semi-final with Joel Dommett once again hosting the bonkers ITV singing competition.

The judging panel of Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan tried to guess each character’s identities, accompanied by guest panellist Peter Crouch.

But it all came down to a double elimination in the semi-final, as two contenders were unmasked at the end of the show, leaving three to compete in the final.

The first to go was Jacket Potato, who was finally unveiled as Richie Sambora to the judging panel’s open-jawed reaction.

The legendary Bon Jovi guitarist told host Joel: "It's a wild reality when you do this show.”

The second star on the chopping block was Jellyfish, who was finally unveiled as Glee’s Amber Riley in the ITV studio.

Amber said: “I really tried to pick songs that people would not recognise my voice.”

The double elimination leaves the remaining characters of Fawn, Rhino and Phoenix, who will now take to the stage in the final next week.

Ahead of the final, the latest odds from Ladbrokes reveal who is likely behind the Phoenix and Rhino masks.

The bookies have priced the remaining faces on The Masked Singer, with Ricky Wilson at 4/6 and Charlie Simpson at 1/3 – they are the most likely names to be revealed as Phoenix and Rhino.

It comes after a double elimination last weekend, which saw This Country star Daisy May Cooper unmasked as Otter on the ITV show when she landed at the bottom of the contestants.

The co-creator and star of BBC Three drama was unveiled by fellow comic Mo Gilligan prior to the unmasking.

The dramatic double elimination also saw Knitting as the first contestant to be eliminated, with their identity being confirmed as Steps singer Claire Richards.

Earlier in The Masked Singer’s 2023 run, celebrities unveiled have included Chris Kamara, Lulu and Martin, and Shirlie Kemp as the famous faces behind Ghost, Piece of Cake, and Cat & Mouse respectively.

In a more recent episode, it was revealed that Snooker legend Stephen Hendry had been hiding behind the Rubbish costume and a pregnant Katherine Ryan was masquerading as Essex-talking Pigeon.

The Masked Singer airs Saturdays on ITV at 7pm.
