Alexandro Bernabei rejected the chance to move to La Liga because he believes he has a better chance of playing for Argentina by staying at Internacional.
The full back touched down in Brazil yesterday after completing his £4.5 million move from Celtic to turn his loan move into a permanent one. He has signed a three-year deal.
He is set to play his first match since officially signing in a friendly tomorrow against Mexico in a pre-season challenge match.
And it was revealed in Brazil, Bernabei's agents had offers from both clubs in Seville - Sevilla and Real Betis, as well as other Brazilian outfits Palmeiras and Atletico Mineiro.

However, Bernabei made clear he wanted to remain at Internacional because he was keen to play in this year's Copa Libertadores tournament.
And he believes he has a better chance of being called up by the world champions if he stays with the Porto Alegre club.
Bernabei was named as the best left back in Brazil last season and has been widely tipped to win his first call-up for their World Cup double-header qualifiers in March in Uruguay and at home against Brazil.
