A major factor in Prince Harry leaving King Charles' Coronation celebrations early is now an ongoing legal row.
It's said that the withdrawal of the Duke of Sussex's round-the-clock protection from armed police has been key in his decision to head back home to the US once he has seen his father crowned, writes The Mirror.
The prince is involved in an ongoing High Court action with the Home Office over a decision to take away his UK security after he stepped back from his royal duties in 2020.
Harry will watch the Coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6 but will then fly home and miss the King’s Coronation concert the following day.
King Charles' youngest son will miss out on the musical extravaganza featuring All Night Long singer Lionel Richie, Take That and Katy Perry.
Instead of attending the concert, he will head back to be with his family in California and belatedly celebrate his son Archie’s fourth birthday, sources revealed.
After weeks of not knowing if he or his wife Meghan Markle would attended, Harry, 38, finally confirmed last week that he would be returning to the UK for the event.
However, Meghan 41, is staying at home with their children Prince Archie, whose birthday is on the same day as the Coronation, and Princess Lilibet, who turns in June.
