The luxury spa hotel in Cheshire named one of the best in the country

A spa hotel 90 minute’s drive from Greater Manchester fought off competition from 15 other sites to be named one of the best in the country. Carden Park received the title of England’s Best Country House Hotel Spa at this year’s World Spa Awards.

Located in the Cheshire countryside, 12 miles south of Chester, the luxury spa hotel features an expansive country estate with indoor and outdoor facilities. Guests can indulge in a range of relaxation experiences, including the panoramic garden sauna, thermal garden pods and an aroma steam room.

It’s the second year Carden Park has received the award, and it’s easy to see why. It boasts one of the largest spa gardens in the UK and even has outdoor swimming pools which can be enjoyed all year round.

The hotel offers a selection of dining options, covering everything from fine dining to light snacks. With rooms suiting every need, from cosy doubles to luxury suites, guests are guaranteed a restful stay.

In its eighth year, the World Spa Awards celebrate and reward excellence in the spa and wellness sector. The winners were decided following a year-long search for the world’s top spa and wellness brands, with votes cast by industry professionals, the media and the general public.

Spas from across the globe won in the various categories, with Mandarin Oriental taking the prestigious title of World’s Best Hotel Spa Brand for the first time, with 12 of the brands spas around the world winning 16 award titles. Four locations in England, including Carden Park, collected awards, while only one spa in Scotland and Wales respectively received awards.

Rebecca Cohen, Managing Director, World Spa Awards, says: “We received a wonderful array of new World Spa Awards nominees this year resulting in an exciting number of first time World Spa Awards winners. We also saw previous winners continue to excel and retain their titles. With another year of stand-out winners we look forward to encouraging the continuing surge in spa and wellness bookings as travellers seek out authentic, luxury spa and wellness experiences.”
