A hotel and spa just outside of Glasgow has launched 10 new stunning lodges, each with their own private hot tub for guests to soak in the scenic countryside views.
The cosy lodges, at Bowfield Hotel & Spa in Howwood, are all named after Scottish munros. Sleeping 2-4 guests, idyllic for couples and families looking to relax and unwind as they step away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Nine of the lodges feature a twin or double bedroom, living area with a sofa bed, smart TV, Bluetooth speaker mini fridge and an en-suite shower room. Outside, there’s a decking area with a bubbling hot tub, sun parasol and seating area.

The tenth lodge is extra special and has a larger living space and bedroom, equipped with a TV at the foot of the bed and a standalone bath-tub, in addition to the outside hot tub. Named Ben Lomond after the view the lodge looks out to, it’s been especially created for couples and is ideal for special occasions. The Ben Lomond lodge is also Bowfield’s new Honeymoon Suite, and will be included in wedding packages for those choosing the countryside venue for their special day.
Commenting on the launch, Juliet Parry, General Manager at Bowfield Hotel & Spa said: “The scenery at Bowfield is undoubtedly part of the experience here – so we’re delighted to bring these lodges to our guests and ensure they can take full advantage of our setting while they enjoy a short break with us.”
The venue has an emphasis on spending quality time together and escaping day-to-day stresses, something the lodges are there to enhance.
“Life can be busy!” continued Juliet. “Our lodges are created for guests to enjoy a short break, breathe in the fresh country air, admire the views, and enjoy our fantastic facilities. They are perfect for unwinding. Whether you’re visiting with your partner, kids, a friend or relative, there really is something for everyone to enjoy at Bowfield – and the lodges have just added to that. We’ve had great interest in them already and look forward to welcoming the many guests who’ve booked.”
Logspan supplied and installed the new lodges, with Luddon Constructions being the grounds contractor and overseeing the full development. The interiors were designed by Space ID, with Sketch and Design providing bespoke finishes, and Keith Robertson Landscaping delivering all landscaping and planting throughout the site.
Adam Cosgrove, Operations Director at Manorview said “It’s fantastic to open our highly anticipated lodges. Bowfield has gone from strength to strength, and this is a great addition to Bowfield that we know customers will love.”
Not only will guests enjoy a private lodge and hot tub, but they’ll have access to Bowfield’s many facilities too. Every lodge break includes complimentary use of the hotel’s star-lit swimming pool, sauna, steam room and indoor spa pool, breakfast, and for the kids, use of the soft play.
For those seeking extra relaxation, Bowfield’s on-site spa, AURA, offers rejuvenating ESPA treatments and guests can also opt to access the spa facilities. This can be booked as part of a lodge stay package, or separately.
To ensure guests can take advantage of everything Bowfield has to offer, lodge breaks are available for a minimum of 2 nights, with prices starting from £199.50 per person.
