Let's start here

- Police recovered a rifle at the scene but say the gunman, who is believed to be a white male between the age of 18 and 20, is still at large
- Witness Jeff Leon told CNN the noise of the gunshots "sounded like a string of about 20 firecrackers being let off inside of your metal garbage bin"
- Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has condemned the shooting on social media, saying America "must — and we will — end this plague of gun violence"
One thing you'll be hearing about today: Interest rates on the rise

- Economists are predicting a rise of 0.5 percentage points, which would increase the cash rate to 1.35 per cent

The news Australia is searching for
NASA Moon: China has rejected suggestions from the head of NASA that Beijing has a military strategy to take over the Moon.
NASA administrator Bill Nelson told a German newspaper it was concerning that China was landing on the moon and could lay claim to it, telling others to stay out.
But China's foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian says China's space program is normal and reasonable, and has accused accusing the US of constructing a campaign against China.
One more thing: What the census says about your neighbourhood
It's been a week since the Australian Bureau of Statistics dropped the first bunch of 2021 census data and we found out we're less religious, and millennials and boomers are almost equal in number.
But what does the situation look like in your own backyard? Are you living in boomer or millennial territory, or are you experiencing a man drought?
See how you compare to the rest of the country by searching your postcode here.
That's it for now
We'll be back later on with more.
